"Hazel"

Released: July 12, 2008 from Westhampton Beach, NY

Hazel was rescued on April 7, 2008 from Quogue. She was lethargic, underweight, and had an abcess on the hind flipper. During her initial physical examination it was discovered that she had an unusual coloration of her iris, hence the name Hazel.

Hazel was only 37 lbs when she was rescued. On the day of the release she weighed almost 90 lbs! She was released at the Swordfish Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, NY and the club's members and staff joined Hazel in her journey back to her ocean home.
