“Annette”
NY3775-07

Atlantic Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas)
Rescued: November 24, 2007
Released: September 30, 3008

Annette was found “cold-stunned” on Breakwater Road beach in Mattituck, New York. This lucky turtle, a four-pound Atlantic green sea turtle, was one of four turtles rescued that day. Annette ate very well throughout her stay at the Riverhead Foundation’s hospital, thanks to the Andrew Sabin Family Foundations’ generous sponsorship of Annette’s rehabilitation. Annette was released from Mr. Sabin’s sport boat into Block Canyon on September 30, 2008. Annette was outfitted with a satellite tag, which will provide up to one year’s worth of data regarding her movements in the ocean.
