      Charles Bowman is the President of Land Use Ecological Services, Inc. Mr. Bowman founded Land Use in 1981 to provide services in environmental protection and planning, coastal zone management, land use management, wetland and habitat delineation and restoration, wetland and aquatic invasive species management, endangered species and critical habitat monitoring, natural resource inventories, and environmental impact analysis. Mr. Bowman has detailed knowledge and understanding of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and has aided numerous clients in complying with these Acts over the past 29 years.

      Ellen Bissett DeRiggi was elected to the Board of Directors of the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation in February 2014. She was elected Vice President in February 2105.
    Ellen Bissett DeRiggi serves as General Counsel to Bissett Nursery Corp., where she is also a member of the Board of Directors. Ellen is also Of Counsel to the law offices of Campolo Middleton & McCormick, LLP. She was recognized with an award for Leadership in Law by Long Island Business News in 2014.

    Natasha Meyers was elected to the Board of Directors in October 2014, and was elected Secretary in February 2015.

    Natasha Meyers is the Managing Partner of the Meyers Law Group, PC. Natasha Meyers attended Hunter College where she received her Bachelors of Art in Political Science in 1997. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at Touro Law Center in 2003 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Meyers was an active member of the Touro Law Center community while attending law school and remains engaged through the Touro Law Center’s Alumni Association and Alumni Council.

    Ms. Meyers endeavors to give back to the community and she provides free legal services to the indigent through the St. Patrick’s Church Outreach program in Huntington, New York.

    Robert Pospischill was elected to the Riverhead Foundation’s Board of Directors in June 2013.

    Robert Pospischil was elected President of Bissett Nursery Corp. and Bissett Equipment Corp. in 2012. Prior to that, Bob served as the Chief Financial Officer of Bissett Nursery Corp. since 1985. During his tenure, he was instrumental in bringing modern innovation and product diversification to the nursery, as well as the financing and development of Atlantis Marine World Aquarium and Hyatt Place East End Hotel in Riverhead, NY. Bob is originally from Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in finance. He was a fighter pilot in the Marine Corps for 14 years before joining Bissett Nursery. Bob is an avid high-altitude mountain climber and has climbed over 17 major peaks throughout the world. He currently serves on the board of directors for Contractors for Kids, raising money for Long Island families with terminally ill children. He is also a sought after lecturer and motivational speaker.

    Joseph Petrocelli was elected to the Riverhead Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2012.

    Joseph Petrocelli is a principal of J. Petrocelli Contracting Corp., one of the most reputable and successful contracting firms on Long Island. He is also one of the co-founders and owners of the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center and Hyatt Place East End Hotel in Riverhead, NY. Through his various affiliates, Joe’s hard work, knowledge and vision has had a major impact on the entire business landscape of Long Island. Joe grew up in a family-owned and operated business and is able to offer to Bissett Nursery particularly insightful wisdom, experience and advise on issues of strategic management, growth and business succession.

JASON SAMUELS

      Jason S. Samuels is a partner in Farrell Fritz’s commercial litigation department, concentrating in construction law. He represents contractors, owners and developers in all aspects of construction, including negotiation of large scale new construction and renovation project agreements. In addition to transactional construction work, Mr. Samuels has successfully prosecuted and defended claims on behalf of clients in various New York Federal and State Courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution venues. He is also a contributor to Farrell Fritz’s New York Construction Law blog.

      Mr. Samuels served as a Director and Secretary of World Cares Center, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation formed after September 11, 2001 to benefit emergency responders in downtown Manhattan. World Cares Center has since expanded to become a well-recognized national not-for-profit for the education and facilitation of disaster relief worldwide.

JORDAN THOMPSON

      Jordan Thompson is the Associate General Counsel and Privacy Officer at New York Institute of Technology, a not-for-profit private university.  He attended Cornell University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations in 2000.  Jordan is also a graduate of Rutgers Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2003.  A Certified Information Privacy Professional and licensed attorney in the states of New York and New Jersey, he is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the District of New Jersey.
      Jordan serves as a Chair of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network and a Trustee of the Huntington Lawyers Club.  He lives in Dix Hills with his wife Kimberly and their three boys.

      Christopher Van Bell was elected to the Riverhead Foundation’s Board of Directors in February 2015.
      Christopher Van Bell is a Vice President with M&T Bank, where he has been a member of the bank’s Business Banking division since 2007. Mr. Van Bell derives great satisfaction in working with these partners and with various members of M&T Bank to provide quality service and products to organizations to help them achieve their goals.
      Mr. Van Bell received his M.B.A. from Dowling College in 2004 and resides in East Northport, NY with his wife and two children.
